I thought I'd turn immigration issues on their head.

Bus boy cleaning off my table
Seems like a nice fella
Is he fiscally unstable
'Cause I'd like to tell ya
Restaurant manager employed him
For a tiny wage
Wonder if the pay annoys him
I wonder why he stays

Every morning he's there at his job with apron on
Sometimes he looks around like he doesn't belong
Mostly people just ignore him as he does his work
You know I think if I had that job I'd go berserk

Bus boy doesn't speak the language
Crazy but it's true
Wonder if this country is
A place he snuck into
If it is, he should be going
Back to his country now
Unrestricted immigration
We just can't allow

So I call the immigration bureau and I say
They need to look and see if we have got a stray
So they show up at the restaurant checking on I.D.'s
It looks like soon he's going to be a deportee

Bus boy saying adios now
Taking off his apron
One last look and there he goes now
Turned in by this patron
Maybe back to Arizona
Or to Michigan
'Cause we're here in Guatemala
And he's American
