Original Song: "When I'm 64" by The Beatles

YouTube pages can be removed at any time. If you find a broken link, let me know. I'll appreciate it.

This is admittedly a nostalgic look back at 1964. I was six and seven in 1964 and was mostly oblivious to all the horrible events transpiring (race riots, Vietnam, nuclear proliferation, and so on).

Now that I'm older, losing my hair
I will reminisce
Seems it happened not so very long ago
Beatles on the Sullivan show
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer debuted
Pop Tarts hit the stores
We went to drive-ins, we were alive in
1964

Your mind might be blown
To hear that way back then
There were picture phones

We got to see Muhammed Ali
Win the boxing crown
Don't know anyone who truly was surprised
When Liz Taylor wed number five
Moog synthesizers bringing us sounds
Never heard before
Jim Brown was runnin', we had such fun in
1964

Gomer Pyle, Jeopardy, The Munsters, and The Lawrence Welk Show
All were on the air
Candid Camera too
Cartoons on Saturday
Captain Kangaroo

Kiddos at Christmas opening gifts
Getting G.I. Joes
Listening to music sung by Marvin Gaye
New Ford Mustangs racing away
Squeezin' the Charmin, tigers in tanks
Who could ask for more
It seems astoundin', I was around in
1964
Hoo!
